On September 28, 2013, the members of Atheist Community of Austin, as well as quite a few guests out of town, went on a cruise on Town Lake, and watched the bats emerge at dusk from the Congress Avenue bridge. The pre-cruise lecture was given by our very special guest P. Z. Myers, who spoke about the evolution of the bats. Dave Silverman from American Atheists was also there, as well as a few notable atheists from Dallas and other places.
